Clan Ó Snodaigh is of Scottish origin and has been in Ireland since the late 15th century, when some of the clan fled the feuds between the Campbells and MacDonalds. There were other waves of Snoddy migration, ca. 1568 and 1606, before the Ulster Plantation.
